The Ladies Retreat is almost here! Here are some details to help you plan for the weekend.

CHECK-IN

Friday, April 26 at the Prothro Center, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

  • As you check in, you will receive your room assignment and key along with a tote containing your lanyard, shirt, and journal with schedule. On the back of your lanyard with your name tag, you will find your break-out group leader and friends.
  • Please be aware that we are not having dinner prepared on Friday night. We will have our traditional yummy “snack buffet”! We will have some gluten free options. You are welcome to bring your own picnic supper and eat on the deck outside the dining hall, if you wish.
  • We’ll get started in the Lakeview Room in the main lodge at 7:00 p.m with introductions and ice-breakers, concluding around 8:30.
WHAT TO BRING:
  • Linens and towels are furnished, but you might want to bring a special blanket or pillow. Towels are used for two days. Prothro offers a few hotel size soaps and shampoos; however, you may want to bring your own. Hair dryers are provided in each room.
  • A small flashlight will be very helpful at night!
  • Our retreat is casual dress. You may want to bring a lightweight jacket. Check weather. If rainy, pack rain gear.
  • COMFORTABLE shoes are a must, especially if you plan to take part in the Healing Hike during free time!

Everyone attending will receive a retreat t-shirt. We will be taking a group picture on Saturday morning. Please wear your t-shirt!

MEALS
  • Day retreaters will be included in all the meals if you so choose.
  • Breakfast on Saturday is at 8:00, lunch at 12:00 noon and dinner on Saturday evening will be at 6:00.
  • Sunday brunch will be at 9:00.

We encourage you to make every effort to fully participate in all the sessions and break-out groups. Participation in the break-out groups is one of the highlights of the weekend. Our speaker, Nika Maples, will present twice on Saturday and again on Sunday morning. Nika has been praying with us and leading our planning committee since December. She is a powerful speaker and will be an encouragement to each of us. We will end our retreat with a special time of worship and communion, open to all who have come to honor Jesus. The retreat will conclude around noon on Sunday.
