Sympathy

Our sympathy is with Kim Watson after the passing of his father, Charlie Watson, on Monday, April 28th.   Services were held earlier today.

 

Tonight

Tonight is our PAWS for a Cause & Dessert Auction.  All proceeds will fund youth camp scholarships.  Make plans to join us tonight before class.  The silent auction is from 5:15-6:10 and the live auction is from 6:10-6:30.  Whether you buy anything or not, your presence is much appreciated! It’s also a lot of fun during the live Auction. If you can’t make it tonight but would like to make a donation, scan the QR code.

 

Christian Theater Workshop

Register online now at pacoc.net/ctw for our CTW day camp, July 14-18th. Performances will be held on Saturday, July 19 at noon and 7 PM, and Sunday, July 20 at 4 PM. The cost is $60 per child.

 

PAWS Volunteers

We are in need of volunteers to help prepare and serve with our PAWS meal on Wednesday nights. If you can help please contact Shelly Calvert at (972) 989-7025.

 

National Day of Prayer, May 1st

Gather with us tomorrow, Thursday, May 1 from noon to 1:00 pm at Parkside Baptist Church as we lift up our community and nation in prayer. Lunch will be provided at no cost by the churches of the Denison Ministerial Alliance.

 

Family Promise

We are hosting 2 families with Family Promise this week in the Ark. Check with the church office to see if this has changed any other activities planned this week.

 

Senior Sunday, May 4th

Make plans to join us this Sunday, May 4th to honor our high school seniors this year with a banquet in the Ark immediately after services. We will have tables in the atrium with baskets for cards and gifts for each student.  Our High School  Seniors are: Justin Brandt, Beth Kirkbride, Drew Harrison, Alyson Milner, Kassidy Ross,  Shelby Russell, Austin Reinsch, Jaylen Johnson, Brayden McAlister, Buckley Turner.

 

Mother’s Day

On Sunday, May 11th we will honor our mothers with specialty coffee in the  atrium before worship services.  We will also have a photo booth for pictures.

 

Wedding Shower

Join us for a wedding shower honoring Allison (Allie) Foster & Lucas Dollar on Sunday, May 18th from 1:30-3:00 PM in the atrium. They are registered at  zola.com

 

Man Alive

The next Man Alive breakfast is Saturday, May 10 at 8:00 AM. Come and enjoy a time of food, fellowship, and challenge.

 

Youth Ministry

  • April 30th: Come help with our Dessert Auction! Arrive between 5-5:15pm! Class at 6:30ish.
  • May 4th: Senior Sunday! Lunch for the whole church after worship!
  • May 4th: Senior Fun Trip! Graduating seniors we will leave at 4pm!
  • May 25-30th: Sign up for Boles Mission Trip!
  • June 22-27: Camp Horizon! Early bird deadline is May 14th!
