Pressing On

Last Sunday we launched our Pressing On Forward in Faith campaign. If you have not signed up for a 24 hour fast you can do that today in the atrium. We have Devotional Guides and Prayer Journals on the table in the atrium to give more guidance during these 40 days of prayer.  You can also sign up for one of the Informational Gatherings that will provide more details about the campaign. Praise Night & Ice Cream social

Join us tonight for PAWS lite at 5:15 PM followed by our Praise Night & Ice Cream Social at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center.   Shelly Calvert and her team are preparing Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwiches and Salad Bar for our PAWS meal. Children's classes will meet at the normal time of 6:30 PM.

 

Memorial Service

Our sympathy is with the Rainwater family after the loss of Verzella Rainwater last weekend. A memorial service for Verzella will be held on Monday, September 21 at 10 AM at Park Avenue Church.

 

Baptisms

Congratulations to Jurgen Kuhn, Jayde Handle and Scout Handle who were baptized into Christ last Sunday. We rejoice with each of them and their families.

 

Volunteer Opportunity

A great opportunity will open this Winter for a teacher and two assistants in the Wednesday night Toddler Bible class (Dec-Feb), 6:30-7:30.  Lessons, supplies, and support are ready to make serving this class a blessing! See Rachel McClure to volunteer.

 

Ministers Cook Off

Mark your calendars for next Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 PM in the Courtyard. We will enjoy some good food and fellowship. Bring a lawn chair!

 

Barnabas Food Drive

Our annual food drive will run from September 6-27 to help the Barnabas Center fill their pantry for Thanksgiving.

 

90th Birthday Celebration
