TODD'S TAKE
Good Morning and welcome to our worship services today. In our sermon time we will continue our journey through the Gospel of John. This week’s stop will be chapter 11—the raising of Lazarus.

COVID has slowed us down, but not stopped us. There are several ways to serve and to fellowship in spite of the restrictions placed on us by the virus.

For service, we will be hosting the North Texas Mobile Food Pantry again on Monday, November 23. PACOC is also helping with Meals on Wheels during the month of December.

For fellowship and worship, the women are planning a social-distance-sensitive Gift Exchange on December 7. The Denison Ministerial Alliance will be hosting a Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 22.  Our DMC’s continue both in person and over Zoom. And every Sunday we are meeting for worship in person while streaming it online. Our adult class is meeting at 9 AM on Sunday mornings. Our Wednesday morning Ladies Class is continuing to meet. Our Youth ministry is regularly meeting on Sundays and Wednesdays. Our children’s classes are meeting on Sunday as well.

I know we have to take some measures during this time, but do not allow yourself to be totally isolated from the spiritual nourishment we always need.

Having an effective online presence has become more and more important these days and we are taking measures to make that happen. We have recently updated our webpage. If you haven’t taken a look lately, log onto pacoc.net. We   continue to encourage all our members to create accounts on our new Church Management System. Many of you have the church app as well. There are many ways for us all to stay connected digitally, so please take advantage of these resources.

One casualty of 2020 has been our 5th Sunday Debt Reduction Contributions. Given the circumstances we have not offered any of these special giving opportunities, but this month we will. Sunday, November 29 is the last Fifth Sunday of 2020 and we will designate our entire contribution that week to apply to the mortgage of the Ark. Please give generously as we accelerate the payoff date.

May God continue to bless and lead us as we serve him in Texoma and around the globe.
