Pray, People, Purpose Survey

Thanks to all who have already taken the "Pray, People, Purpose" spiritual health survey. We hope this can be a tool for you in your spiritual walk, as well as a tool for our elders as they shepherd the congregation. Please take a few minutes to take the survey online here, or by picking up a hard copy from one of the information centers.

Uvalde Tribute

A tribute has been set up in the prayer garden in remembrance of the Uvalde school shooting victims. Our church & community are invited to the prayer garden to offer prayers for the victims, their families, and their community.

Thank You

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the delicious meal for our family, for the beautiful plant, and for all the cards, kind words, and love shown to us during this difficult time.  In Christian love, Teresa & Alan Bergquist, Justin & Rayna Monroe, Josh & Terra Cueva.

TJ and I deeply thank our church family for lifting us up in prayer during our recent health issues.  Also, for the food, cards, calls and every other act of kindness that you have shown to us.  We both have a way to go to regain our health but we are so blessed to have all of you on our side.  Thanks from our hearts!  TJ and Margaret Atnip

TODD'S TAKE

Good morning and welcome to our worship. To all our guests, we are glad to have you with us and if you have any questions please feel free to find a minister or elder and we’d be more than happy to help. Members and guests, please complete a digital communication card that can be accessed on the church app or by scanning the QR code below.

Today I will be starting a new series called “Cries of Desperation.” Being a God-follower can sometimes be frustrating, confusing, and even terrifying. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at the cries of desperation of people like Mary, the 12 apostles, Nicodemus, the thief on the cross, Gideon, and others and learn some strategies from these cries that will help us process the confusion we all experience as disciples.

Today is a Fifth Sunday and all our contribution will be designated to pay down the mortgage of the family life center. Thanks for your continued generosity.

Let me remind you of the self-evaluation tool we introduced to you last Sunday.  This has been designed to assist you in your spiritual growth and provide the Eldership with information  that will help them best lead this congregation. It is based on three aspects of our discipleship that are summarized by the phrase PRAY. PEOPLE. PURPOSE. PRAY refers to our pursuit of holiness through worship and the spiritual disciplines. PEOPLE refers to our connection to the body of Christ. And PURPOSE refers to using our gifts and talents to serve the kingdom. This tool will call us to self-evaluation as Paul encourages us all in 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV) — “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?”
