December Sunday Morning Bible Class
The Christmas Experience is a video portrayal of the birth of Jesus that examines the Christmas story in detail. Each episode will focus on how God chose each individual in the Christmas story for a specific purpose. This is appropriate for all adults and school aged children. Join us today and next Sunday from 9:00-9:45 in the youth suite of the Ark for this special time.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our creator and savior. If you are looking for a church home, please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

This morning we move on to another letter of Paul, Philippians. This letter is the most positive and encouraging of all of Paul’s letters.  Philippians is one of the prison epistles of Paul written while he was in a Roman prison about AD 60. What is amazing is that in spite of his difficult circumstances Paul exudes a spirit of joy, and, no doubt, this joy springs from an appreciation of what God has done for him and all of us in sending Jesus to earth to save us. That's what Christmas can do for us—bring us joy in all and every circumstance. I pray that all of us can share in this joy during this season and throughout the year.

I hope everyone is planning on being at our Christmas Eve Service, tonight at 6 pm. Invite friends and family for this special time of reflection on the coming of Jesus! The service will last about one hour.

This week and last week PACOC is privileged to host a couple of families as a part of our participation with Family Promise—a ministry to assist situationally homeless families. There are several churches throughout Grayson County that make their churches available as temporary shelters while these families get the help they need to get back in more permanent housing. What a great use of our Family Life Center (Ark)! A special thanks to PACOC members who provide meals and coordinate this important work.

The church office will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the Holidays. We will be back checking emails and voice mails Wednesday, but if you have an urgent need call one of the elders listed below.

Glad you are with us today!
