Children’s Books
We have been given the go ahead by the Denison Public Library to purchase some Christian themed books for children that will be placed in circulation. Our hope is that these books will be a blessing to families who check out these books and learn of the message of the Bible—maybe for the first time! Our goal is to raise $400 for this project. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please contact Rachel McClure.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our Creator and Savior.

Happy Mother’s Day! Today we remember how much our mothers have blessed our lives and we honor all the mothers here today who so faithfully and sacrificially love their children. As a small token of our appreciation we hope you enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut or two during our fellowship time from 9:00—9:45 am.

This morning in the sermon time I will start a series of lessons on King David as we resume a series I began last year called The Crown. We will pick up the story with the death of King Saul and the transition of power to David. It doesn't go nearly as smoothly as we would expect, but David once again demonstrates patience and faith as he seeks the Lord’s guidance in this next phase of his life.

Pressing On
Thanks to everyone who participated in a Focus Group over the last few weeks. These were great times for the elders to hear from you about PACOC. We want to plan prayerfully and carefully for the future and your input is so valuable in doing that as we press on to discover and live into God’s future for the church.

The next step in our visioning process is a congregational Church Health Assessment. This is a 5-10 minute survey that will assist us in understanding how you perceive the various aspects of congregational life. There are no right or wrong responses, only your personal perception. Your responses are confidential and secure. Scan the QR code to get to the survey. The survey will start tomorrow, May 13 and run through Sunday, June 2. If you need some assistance accessing the survey our youth will be available with computers on Sunday, May 19 in room C at 9 am. If you have any questions regarding your participation in the Church Health Assessment please contact the office.
