TODD’S TAKE

If you are a guest with us today, we are so glad you chose to spend Easter Sunday with us. Whether this is your first time through our doors or you have been away for a while, you are warmly welcome here. Please introduce yourself to anyone around you — we would love to get to know you.

Today we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ — the single most important event in human history. Everything we believe as followers of Jesus hinges on this morning. The cross was not the end. The tomb is empty. And that changes everything.

This Easter also marks the conclusion of our four-week series on self-denial. We have been working through one of Jesus' most counterintuitive teachings — that the path to life runs directly through surrender. Today we arrive at the destination: the resurrection as the ultimate proof that self-denial leads to life. What looks like loss to the world is, in the hands of God, the seed of something far greater.

It is fitting that we land here on Easter. The cross and the empty tomb are not just the center of our faith — they are the living demonstration of the very principle Jesus taught. He gave everything. And God raised him from the dead.

We are so glad you are here. Come expecting something real today.

He is risen!

Grace Offering

Today is our Grace Offering — a special Sunday when every dollar contributed goes directly to the outreach efforts of Park Avenue Church. From helping our community through organizations like HEAT and the Texoma Family Shelter, to providing food through the Barnabas Center, to printing Bibles for Eastern European Mission, to supporting missionaries in South America and Africa — every penny goes toward bringing healing and hope to those close by and those around the world. We have been so richly blessed. For a full list of supported works visit pacoc.net/go. May we give generously in return.
