TODD’S TAKE

What a joy it is to have you with us this morning. We are so glad you chose to spend part of your day here — worshiping together, sharing communion, connecting with one another, and opening God's Word.

If you are a guest this morning, welcome. We mean that sincerely. Please let us know you are here and how we can help you on your spiritual journey. We would love to take that next step with you.

Today in our sermon time we continue in Psalm 110 — the most quoted Old Testament passage in the entire New Testament. Jesus quoted it. Peter preached from it. Paul appeals to it. Hebrews builds its greatest argument around it. And week by week, we are discovering why.

Last week we established that Jesus is already on the throne. The victory is already secured. The King is already reigning. We heard it straight from heaven — the Father speaking to the Son: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." David overheard that conversation, grabbed his pen, and wrote it down. And two thousand years later, it still has the power to quiet every fear we carry.

So why doesn't it feel that way?

Look around. The world is loud, chaotic, and often hostile to everything we believe. Evil seems to advance unchecked. And if we're honest, following Jesus sometimes feels less like being on the winning side and more like being hopelessly out of place in a world that has no interest in the King we serve.

This week we move to Psalm 110:2–3, and the psalm doesn't flinch from that tension. It tells us plainly: the King rules in the midst of his enemies. Not after the resistance clears. Not when things settle down. Right now. In this. Here.

And then it asks a question we can't avoid: knowing that — what do you do with it?

The answer is one of the most compelling images in all of Scripture — an army that shows up willingly. Arrayed in splendor, appearing like dew at dawn, already there before anyone called roll.

The question isn't whether the King is worth following. The question is what side you will choose.

Grace Offering

We have exceeded our goal — and then some. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have now collected $178,034, surpassing our original target and fully funding every outreach commitment we made for this year.

But we're not stopping there. Our outreach ministry leaders will now seek out additional opportunities to bless our community and beyond with the love of God. There is more good that can be done, and because of you, we have the means to do it.

Your generosity is not just inspiring — it is a clear and tangible expression of your commitment to the Kingdom. Well done.
