Sympathy’s

Our sympathy is with the family of Betty Clark after her passing on April 28. A memorial service will be held here at Park Avenue on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 AM.

Our sympathy also goes out to Jeff Thompson after the passing of his mother, Vicki Thompson on April 27. A memorial service was held yesterday at Fisher Funeral Home.   

Our condolences are also with Andrew Cassady after the passing of his father, Ron Cassady, on April 26. A private service is being held for the family with a public event to be held at a later date.

Senior Sunday

Congratulations to our graduating high school seniors!  Everyone is invited to join us today for a banquet to honor our high school seniors after worship services in the Ark. We have baskets for each senior in the atrium for cards and gifts. 

National Day of Prayer

The Denison Ministerial Alliance invites you to National Day of Prayer Lunch at 12:00 PM this Thursday, May 7 at Parkside Baptist Church.  All are welcome!

Christian Theater Workshop

Register now at pacoc.net/ctw for CTW camp that will run from July 13-17. Registration is open to students who have completed kindergarten through graduating seniors.

New Wednesday DMCs

This Wednesday a new DMC will start in Room B working through CS Lewis’s classic work, Mere Christianity. On May 13, a DMC will begin in the High School Room studying through the Gospel of Mark. All are welcome!

Sonshine Hour

We are looking for 4 to 6 volunteers (can be a couple) for Sonshine Hour during Bible class time on Sunday mornings. We need people who can teach 4 year olds through sixth grade and also folks that can assist with students to ensure they remain engaged. Lessons will be provided. Contact Becky Russell or Gary Calvert if you can help or for more details.  

Mother’s Day

Join us next Sunday, May 10 for Mother’s Day.  We will have a photo booth in the atrium for pictures and a special gift for our moms.  Women who are present that day, are welcome to pick up a Mother's Day gift in the Atrium before or after worship.  Come early as gifts are limited! 

Family Ministry

Park Avenue Wednesday Supper

Join us this Wednesday at 5:15 PM for our PAWS meal. We are having Chicken Casserole, Veggies, Salad Bar, & Dessert, Vegetarian Option.  Chicken Nuggets for the Kids.  The meal will be prepared by Shelly Calvert & Her Team.  Serving starts at 5:15 PM and stops promptly at 6:15 PM.
