Parent & Church Commitment

This Sunday,  we honor our families with new babies, and commit as a church body to assist them on their children’s spiritual development.  Congratulations and blessings to these families!

 

Sympathy’s

Our sympathy is with David Kirkbride and his family after the passing of his mother, Donna Kirkbride, last Sunday.  Funeral services were held yesterday in Cleveland, Mississippi. 

Suednall Martin, aunt of Brenda Chapman, recently passed away. A service was held last Thursday in Colbert, OK.

 

Memorial Service

A memorial service for Verzella Rainwater, mother of Rachel McClure, will be held on Monday, September 21 at 10 AM at Park Avenue Church.

 

Barnabas Food Drive

Our food drive is currently underway and will run through September 27. Grab a tab or two in the Atrium to help the Barnabas Center fill their pantry for Thanksgiving. Items needed are: Canned Corn, Chicken Broth, Chicken Breast, Cream of Chicken Soup, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing Mix, Cake Mix, Cake Frosting.

 

Park Avenue Wednesday Supper

Join us this Wednesday at 5:15 PM for our PAWS meal followed by Session Two of our God's Economy class in either Room D or the Atrium at 6:30 PM. Amyee McAlister and her team are preparing Hamburgers, Hotddogs, Veggie Burgers, Salad Bar & Dessert.

 

Baby Showers

Join us for a baby shower for Cina Strickland and baby boy Kiran in the Atrium next Sunday, September 20 from 1:30-3:00 PM. Registry is at babylist.com

A baby shower for Shelby Russell and baby Charlotte Mae will be held at the home of Kathy Pryor, 1310 W. Main Street, Denison on Sunday, October 11 from 1:30-3:00 PM. Registered at Amazon. Search Charlotte Mae G.

 

Wedding Shower

Join us for a wedding shower for Ryan Wilson & Megan Douglas on Sunday, October 4 in the Atrium from 1:00-2:30 PM.  They are registered at Amazon and Target.

 

Pressing On

We are in the midst of our 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting. It is not too late to sign up on the Prayer Calendar in the Atrium.  We also have prayer journals and devotionals still available.  In addition, we have a Prayer Request Box for you to submit any prayer requests that you have.  Those requests will be prayed over during our 24 hour Prayer Vigil on Friday & Saturday, October 2 & 3.  You will be hearing more about the Prayer Vigil soon.  Don't forget to sign up in the Atrium for one of the remaining Informational Gatherings on either Saturday, September 19 or 26.  

 

Ladies Day

Women of all ages and stages of life are invited to join us for a Ladies Day on Saturday, October 24 in the Family Life Center from 9:00AM-3:00PM. Our theme will be Abide. Come and be inspired by our Speaker, LuAnn Nystrom, daughter of Kathy Sturch and the late Ernie Sturch. We will enjoy coffee, lunch, and fellowship together.  Childcare will be provided. Register now at pacoc.net/ladies

 

Trunk 'n Treat

Mark your calendar for our annual Trunk 'n Treat on Sunday, October 25 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM.

 

Lady Jacket Breakfasts

We will be hosting 4 lady jacket breakfasts this year for the female athletes in the Denison school district. The dates are September 25, October 8 & 23, November 6. You can volunteer to cook, serve or clean up at pacoc.net/ladyjackets

 

Family Ministry Dates

•             October 17: Marriage Date Night from 6-9PM. Cost is $30 per couple. This is an opportunity to laugh, connect and grow together. Register at pacoc.net/marriage
