NEWS & NOTES

Please pardon the mess around the outside of the church building
as we are having some landscaping work done.

Communion
Pick up a communion packet & ziplock bag from the tall tables in the auditorium or from the information centers in the main hallways before worship service begins.

Sympathy
Our sympathy is with J.D. & Celia Thomas after the passing of their son, Kyle Thomas, on May 20. A  celebration of life was held last Thursday.

Thank You
Thank you so much for your cards, notes, calls and texts upon the unexpected death of my sister, Nancy.  This has been a  difficult  year and a half for us. Without our enduring faith and your unrelenting love, it would have been almost impossible. To others who have also lost loved ones, you have our love, our  pledge to walk beside you and gratitude to God for His promise of eternal life for the believers.  Our love,  Kay & Don Skelton

Church on the Lake
Join us this Wednesday, June 2, 6 PM at Waterloo Lake Pavilion. The church will provide the food and ask everyone to make a small donation to offset the cost of the food. Please let us know that you are coming by signing up on the church app so we know how much food to prepare for.  Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and enjoy a time of food and fellowship!

Fifth Sunday
The total contribution today will go to offset the mortgage on the Family Life Center.

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship.  Good things continue in the kingdom of God here and around the world.

  • This week Eric Dickey from Lubbock Children's Home came by to pick up all the diapers you donated. My best guess is that we donated at least 5,000 diapers! Eric was very grateful. Along with that he told us that the Home recently celebrated their 1,000th adoption! That’s pure and undefiled religion.
  • Monday night two more souls were added to the church! Our ministry in Durant, The Turning Point, continues to be used by God to draw more and more people to Him. They average about 40 people every Sunday night for worship.
  • We received a report for the Jimenez family in Cartagena, Colombia. They continue their work while still experiencing the effects from the pandemic. Pray for their work and their country.
  • Today is Debt Reduction Sunday. There will be one contribution  all of which will be applied to our Ark mortgage. We are making serious progress in paying that down saving all kinds of interest!
  • With additional contributions coming in since Grace Offering Sunday, we have met our goal of $157,000! God loves a cheerful giver and we have plenty here at PACOC!
  • Welcome back Basil & Rachel! We missed you!
