Bible Study Opportunities

Mary Martha Women's Bible Study - Resumes Wednesday, September 10th at 10:00 AM in the Atrium. This year's theme is "Cultivating Inward Beauty Through the Word," led by Judith Nevil.

New Testament Reading Group - Join Tyler Cope for a new DMC focused on reading the entire New Testament in 16 weeks. Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the High School room (Ark). Register at pacoc.net/immerse.

Special Events

Wedding Shower - Celebrate Destinee Miller and Carson Trotter on Sunday, September 14th from 1:30-3:00 PM in the Atrium. The couple is registered at Target, Amazon, and Macy's.

PAWS & Praise Night - Wednesday, August 27th features our regular PAWS meal at 5:15 PM followed by a worship service at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center. No DMCs that evening.

Thanksgiving Food Drive - August 31st through September 28th to support the Barnabas Food Pantry's holiday distribution. Collection tabs will be available in the Atrium. Needed items include: Cake Mix, Cake Icing, Canned Corn, Canned Green Beans, Canned Peas, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes (small boxes), Stuffing Mix, and Cornmeal.

Sunday, September 7 - Deacon Installation and Ministry Recognition Service. We will install new Deacons, reaffirm continuing servants, and acknowledge our dedicated ministry leaders.

September 18-20 - Annual Leadership Retreat for elders and ministers. Please pray for clear vision and direction as our leaders seek God's guidance for PACOC's future.

Facility Expansion Project - We continue working with Church Interiors to address our growing space needs as we approach our 40th anniversary. With our Worship Center at capacity and continued growth expected, we're planning strategic expansions to both worship and classroom areas.

Today's sermon addresses another Parishioner's Pick from Proverbs 4:23: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." As Jesus himself taught, everything we do, say, and think originates from our heart. We'll explore practical ways to guard our hearts so we can honor the Lord more fully and set our path toward heaven.
