WEEK 3

September 7 – 13

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Memory tip: Say this phrase with a family member or friend and share one area where you’re still “in process.” Then review Weeks 1–2 from memory.

WEEK 3 · DAY 15

Monday, September 7

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Notice who Paul is talking to: brothers and sisters. Not strangers, not an audience to impress — family. He’s honest because family doesn’t require a performance. Let this week be one where you’re honest with your church family too.

Prayer

God, thank you for my church family. Help me be honest with them, not just with you. Amen.

WEEK 3 · DAY 16

Tuesday, September 8

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Paul was an apostle, a church planter, a spiritual father to many — and still said he hadn’t taken hold of it yet. Even our most trusted leaders are still becoming. Let that free you from needing to have it all figured out.

Prayer

Lord, help me lead and follow with humility, knowing none of us have arrived. Amen.

WEEK 3 · DAY 17

Wednesday, September 9

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

“Not yet” is a hope-filled phrase, not a discouraged one. It assumes a future — that there is more taking hold still to come. Wherever you feel stuck today, remember: not yet isn’t the same as never.

Prayer

Father, give me hope today. What feels unfinished in me is not finished forever. Amen.

----------------------------------------

WEEK 3 · DAY 18

Thursday, September 10

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Midpoint fatigue is real in any long season of prayer. If you’re tired today — whether it’s your fasting day or simply a long week — you’re not doing it wrong. Bring your tiredness to God instead of hiding it.

Prayer

God, I’m tired today. I bring that to you honestly and ask for renewed strength. Amen.

WEEK 3 · DAY 19

Friday, September 11

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Some days in this fast will feel heavier than others, for reasons big or small. On heavy days, this week’s phrase is a gift: you don’t have to have taken hold of peace yet to keep reaching for it.

Prayer

Lord, be near to me in whatever feels heavy today. I’m still reaching for you. Amen.

----------------------------------------

WEEK 3 · DAY 20

Saturday, September 12

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Vulnerability among brothers and sisters is where real growth happens. Is there something you’ve been keeping from your small group, your spouse, or a friend in the faith? Consider sharing it today.

Prayer

God, give me courage to be honest with someone today. Amen.

WEEK 3 · DAY 21

Sunday, September 13

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.”

Today's Thought

Three weeks in. Say this week’s phrase and let the words “brothers and sisters” land — whatever your fasting day looked like this week, you are not walking this season alone.

Prayer

Father, thank you for three weeks alongside my church family. Keep us pressing on together. Amen.
