TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and a warm welcome to all our church family and our guests. We ask everyone to complete our communication card so we can have a record of your attendance.  That can be accessed through the church app or by scanning the QR code below.

This Thursday, May 5, is the National Day of Prayer and you are invited to join our time of prayer and fellowship at noon Thursday at Parkside Baptist Church. We will meet outside and enjoy lunch together followed by a time of prayer.  We will conclude by 1 pm.

The ministerial staff was blessed this past week to attend the Church Leaders Conference at Watermark Church in Dallas. We were all fed spiritually and enjoyed spending time together reflecting on the work here at PACOC.

Today in the sermon time we will continue our journey through Exodus this week stopping at Mount Sinai as God gives his people the Ten Commandments. It is quite a spectacle as the people gather together at the foot of the mountain while Moses and Aaron ascend to hear from God. God is preparing his people to fulfill their role as a nation of priests exhibiting to the nations what it looks like to be in  covenant with God. A theme verse today will be Exodus 19:5—Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession.

God expects obedience and uses the obedient life to shine his love and mercy through us into the lives of others. Although the Law has been fulfilled in Christ, obedience is still expected of us today as disciples. What areas of your life are not being lived in obedience to God?
