TODD’S TAKE
Welcome to our worship service. We are glad to have you here, whether you're a longtime member or a first-time visitor. If you have any questions about Park Avenue or need to know more about the Lord, please seek us out.
Today Is Pledge Sunday
Two and a half years ago, we began asking together, “What is God’s preferred future for our church?” Today, as part of Pressing On: Forward in Faith, we come to a pivotal moment, when each of us is invited to respond to what God has been stirring in our hearts.
What to expect during worship: You’ll find an envelope in the pew with a pledge card inside. During the service, we’ll walk through the card together and then give you time to complete it.
The card includes two giving lines. The first is a one-time gift, our first fruits offering given today, which will help us begin renovations. The second is the amount you plan to give over the next three years, from today through October 2029. You may fill in one line or both, and how often you give over those three years is entirely between you and the Lord.
After everyone has completed their cards, you’ll be invited to bring yours forward to the foot of the cross. We’ll then close with a prayer of blessing over all of our pledges.
If you’re not able to give financially at this time, we understand. We ask that you still bring a card forward, even if it’s blank, as a sign of your support for our church and the many ways you serve.
If you’re our guest today, welcome! Please feel free to sit back and use this time to give thanks for all God has done.
Celebration Sunday, November 1
On that Sunday we will gather together as a church family to celebrate what God is doing through us and set our sights on the future.
Following worship, we’ll share a meal together in the Ark! The church will provide the main course, and we’re asking everyone to bring a dish to share based on the first letter of your last name:
A–F: Salad
G–N: Side dish
O–Z: Dessert
Please bring enough to share with several people. We look forward to celebrating together!
