TODD'S TAKE

Good morning and welcome to our worship. It is good to have everyone with us in person today and we are glad to have those of you who are joining us online.  Especially glad to have our guests with us today.

This morning we will continue our journey through the book of Exodus.  Today we will look at chapters 1 and 2. This family of Abraham has now become a nation large enough to strike fear in the new Pharoah’s heart. In fear and paranoia he oppresses the Israelites in hopes of holding them at bay, but his plans are foiled at every turn. A child is born, Moses, who will grow to be the deliverer of the people and lead them into the next phase of God’s promise.

You came through yet again in generosity as we have collected $53,231 to help with relief efforts in Ukraine. We continue to pray for peace for that region and strength for those who are ministering to the displaced and oppressed.  In addition to that contribution, our Wednesday Morning Ladies Class (Mary/Martha Class) put together some hygiene kits that will be sent to those in need.

Closer to home we were able to help out victims of this week’s storms. We assisted both financially and with some human resources. How beautiful it is to see our churches and our communities rally together for those in need.

Mark you calendar for Sunday, April 17—Grace Offering. As we have done for the last several years, we are asking all PACOC members to give with an added level of generosity to support our outreach efforts, both locally and globally. You’ll be receiving information in the weeks to come with more information. Our Grace Offering actually starts with Daisy’s Little Red Wagon which will be here Sunday, April 10 to receive all the coins being collected by our children and families.
