Children’s Books
We have been given the go ahead by the Denison Public Library to purchase some Christian themed books for children that will be placed in circulation. Our hope is that these books will be a blessing to families who check out these books and learn of the message of the Bible—maybe for the first time! Our goal is to raise $400 for this project. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please contact Rachel McClure.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our Creator and Savior.

This morning in the sermon time I will continue a series of lessons on King David. We will pick up the story with David’s task to unify a nation that has been torn apart after the death of Saul. Saul’s son Ish-Bosheth is ruling in the north while David is ruling from the south in Hebron. Finally, after 7 1/2 years and more than a few deaths, David is anointed as king over all Israel, He  then sets his sites on bringing the people together. David shows both political savvy as well as spiritual savvy as he knows this unity must be with God at the very center of the nation. David’s courage, wisdom, and faith will soon bring the nation into a time of prosperity they have longed for.

Pressing On
Thanks to everyone who participated in a Focus Group over the last few weeks. These were great times for the elders to hear from you about PACOC. We want to plan prayerfully and carefully for the future and your input is so valuable in doing that as we press on to discover and live into God’s future for the church.

The next step in our visioning process is a congregational Church Health Assessment. This is a 5-10 minute survey that will assist us in understanding how you perceive the various aspects of congregational life. There are no right or wrong responses, only your personal perception. Your responses are confidential and secure. Scan the QR code to get to the survey. The survey will run through Sunday, June 2. If you need some assistance accessing the survey our youth will be available  with computers this morning in room C at 9 am. If you have any questions regarding your participation in the Church Health Assessment please contact the office.
