TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship services. If you are a guest with us today, our prayer is that you are blessed by our time of worship. We invite you to talk with any of us about how God is working through the Park Avenue Church.

Today we continue our sermon series "The Crown" as we journey through the reign of Israel's third king, Solomon.

Last week, we explored God's extraordinary offer to Solomon to ask for whatever he wanted—and the king's humble, thoughtful request for wisdom above all else.

Today, we'll witness Solomon's wisdom in action through one of his most famous judgments, and trace his meteoric rise to unprecedented riches, power, and influence. Through Solomon's story, we see the ancient promise to Abraham finding its fulfillment as Israel ascends to prominence among the nations of the ancient world. Foreign rulers from distant lands seek counsel and alliances with this flourishing kingdom.

Yet amid this golden age of prosperity looms a profound question—one that confronts not only ancient Israel but each of us today: How will we respond when blessed with abundance? Will prosperity draw us closer to God or tempt us away from Him?

Pressing On
As we look forward to PACOC’s future, exciting opportunities are unfolding before us. Today marks a special occasion as we host Sam Cannon and his wife Maddie. The Cannons are visiting to explore the possibility of Sam joining our ministry staff in the youth minister position.

Next week brings another significant moment in our church. We'll be sitting down with a consulting firm specializing in church facilities to assess our current buildings and discuss potential upgrades or expansions. With the Texoma region experiencing continued growth, we want to ensure our church home can accommodate the increasing number of people God may bring through our doors.

Please join us in praying for these meetings and the future direction of our church family. Together, we seek to follow where the Lord leads as we minister to our community and beyond.
