Community Prayer Gathering - March 28, 4PM at Sherman Municipal Lawn
People seem to be at odds over a variety of things and our culture is often at odds with God.  It is at times like these that we desperately need prayer as we consider how to bring reconciliation to a divided world. Come join us for a time of community prayer as we seek God’s guidance to seek reconciliation in our community. Prayers will be offered, and Bible passages will be read by various Christian ministry leaders in our area.  Bring your own lawn chair.

Good Friday Service
There will be a service on Good Friday, April 2 at 12 noon at First Baptist Church in Denison. Speakers will be Pastors Stephen Suffron of First Baptist Church and James R.A. Wilson of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Lunch will follow at 12:30PM.

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship this morning. Today is Palm Sunday, the celebration of Jesus entering Jerusalem to the cheers of the crowds. We will be talking about that in our sermon time, but here at Park Avenue this Sunday is even more special because it’s Daisy’s Little Red Wagon, our annual coin  collection to jumpstart our Grace Offering which will be next week. It’s always exciting seeing our kids joyfully and enthusiastically pour their coins in the wagon. What a great example to all of us to give with joyful hearts.

Next week is Grace Offering and I encourage you to give generously as we are planning on a contribution that is about 8 times our normal contribution. This one-time collection supports many of the outreach efforts of PACOC.

Some of the Ministries Made Possible by the Grace Offering

  • Children's Homes—We send monthly support to Boles Home, Medina Home, Tipton Home and Sunny Glen Home.
  • Local Assistance—PACOC has a fund to help PA members and our community with financial needs such as utilities, rent, and other expenses.
  • Barnabas Center—The Barnabas Center distributes food to many local families in need.
  • College Ministry—PACOC has an outreach ministry to Grayson College.
  • Operation Christmas Child—The church pays postage for all the boxes you fill at Christmas time.
  • Family Promise—A ministry to support those experiencing housing instability. PACOC is host church for Family Promise.
  • Congregational Mission Trips—This fund defrays expenses for PACOC members participating in mission trips such as our Casa trip this summer.
  • Families Feeding Families/The Turning Point—This helps support our recent church plant in Durant.
  • World Bible School—WBS sends Bibles and conducts studies with seekers around the globe.
  • Supporting Missions—This funds our support to several mission points and organizations like EEM; Monterrey, Mexico; Cartagena, Colombia; Togo, Africa;  as well as our sewing ministry and individual requests for financial support.

… and more

GO to pacoc.net/go for more information. If you would like to volunteer in any of these outreach efforts, contact a minister and we will point you to the right person.
